The Pride Alliance of the New York State Courts fosters a supportive and inclusive environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) court employees and allies. Originally formed as the Gay/Straight Alliance in the early 2000s, the group was revitalized in 2018 to provide a space for connection, advocacy, and education within the court system. Through events like Pride celebrations, Transgender Day of Remembrance, and legal resource symposiums, the Alliance promotes awareness and policy change. Open to all court employees, the group continues to grow, ensuring a welcoming and equitable workplace for all.
