On the fertile soil of Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat, the PRICELESS Vanguard was officially activated through a symbolic act of stewardship. Alongside an IPED pupil, two mango trees were planted side-by-side to grow as "twins." This living monument symbolizes the inseparable nature of our two frontlines: as the child grows in literacy and wisdom (Front Line I), the tree grows as a guardian of the environment (Front Line II). It is a commitment to ensuring that our progress is rooted in the earth and our future is cultivated through education.

The mission began at zero-hour. On January 1, 2025, fresh from the Taipei 101 fireworks, I executed a tactical reentry into Hong Kong—the site of my 2023 setback. This time, the gates were open. I walked through Central not as a stranded passenger, but as a traveler who had conquered 5 countries in a single sweep. I even served as a "local courier" for a neighbor, delivering pasalubong to her family, turning a personal victory into a community service.

The mid-year deployments shifted from "Solo" to "Squad." I returned to Baguio in April, but this time I wasn't an isolated traveler; I was leading a group of colleagues. The solitude of 2021 was replaced by shared memories.

In June, I entered the most rigorous training of my life: Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT). As part of the SINDAK Class of 2025 (Sinanay upang maging Dakilang Kawal), I was part of the Supernumeray Class and trained alongside doctors and fellow licensed professionals. On September 10, at 12RCDG Isulan, I graduated as a Private in the Philippine Army Reserve Command. I closed the year where it all began—at home with my family—while celebrating the international publication of my 2019 research with RSIS. The "Internal War" was over; the Vanguard was fully commissioned.

Objective: Launch of JollyJaunts Travel & Tours; successful execution of the "UAE Counter-Offensive" and the "Matriarchal Premium" mission.

I began the year waking up in La Union, surrounded by the energy of the world. By January 20, I activated JollyJaunts Travel and Tours, a mission inspired by my 2014 Expedia foundation. After a tactical Holy Week expedition through the Cebu-Bohol-Siquijor corridor, I prepared for the ultimate rematch: the International Gates.

On June 22, the "5-Hour Siege" occurred. After five hours of intense scrutiny at immigration, I broke through. I spent my birthday in the UAE, traversing the desert heat of Dubai and the architectural majesty of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. I reclaimed my right to the world.

In November, I executed my most important mission: The Matriarchal Premium. As a birthday gift to my mother, I booked her first flight—a luxurious, exclusive tour of her home province. We navigated the windmills and sweet mango orchards of Guimaras, then took the OceanJet to Bacolod—revisiting the fields where she once worked as a sugarcane farmer—and toured Iloilo City. It was the most luxurious travel of her life, a multi-island extraction via private cars and ferries that culminated in a flight home on her birthday to a waiting celebration. This was the "Premium" experience I wished for my father, realized through her.

The year concluded with a Three-Nation Victory Lap. I celebrated Christmas in Kuala Lumpur with my 2014 call center teammate, followed by a tactical layover at Changi Airport, and a final landing in Taiwan. I ended 2024 lying under the trees in the freezing winter air, watching the Taipei 101 fireworks ignite the sky. The Vanguard was no longer grounded; the Vanguard was global.

Objective: Scaling of JoCo (Jolly’s Clothing & Organics); scientific enhancement of legacy products; and a year-end "Strategic Gratitude" mission.

2023 was the peak of my entrepreneurial deployment. I rebranded my efforts into JoCo, driven by the mission of GOODNESS. I traveled to Davao to study under a registered chemist, enhancing my mother’s traditional formula into Melagros Herbal Oil, and launched LORETO Apparel to honor my father’s integrity and our childhood struggle for school uniforms. I also formulated the DIURNAL Scents—7 unisex daily affirmations (Delightful, Invincible, Ultimate, Radiant, Notable, Astonishing, Legendary) as a sign of inclusivity and mental fortitude.

The year, however, was not without its heavy casualties. On November 22, I attempted my first international mission to Hong Kong, but was offloaded by immigration. It was a failed mission that cost time and pride, yet it provided the vital intel needed for the 2024 counter-offensive. Refusing to let the year end in defeat, I shifted my focus back to my home perimeter. I executed an all-expenses-paid Christmas extraction for the entire clan at the beach—van, cottages, and food—settling the emotional ledger for my 2022 isolation and proving that the Vanguard could still provide, even when grounded. After the family time was the me-time, I launched a year-end solo sweep. I flew to Cebu to join a city tour with strangers, navigated Pampanga solo for 24 hours of tactical exploration, and ended the year in La Union. There, at a massive year-end party with foreigners and strangers, I reclaimed my identity as a traveler. I didn't need a passport to prove I was limitless.

2022 was the year the "unexplained sickness" finally received a name. After years of denial and ignoring the biological warning signs, I booked a consultation with a psychiatrist. On my birthday, I was officially diagnosed with Clinical Depression, already in its most severe phase. I celebrated that night in a hotel room—alone, ordering food for one, and making a donation to UNICEF. It was a gift of truth to myself; I stopped lying about the war inside.

The diagnosis was followed by a descent into the crater of Lake Holon. Surrounded by a group of strangers, I tested my physical and mental limits in the mountain fog. It was a mission to see if I could still find beauty while carrying a heavy diagnosis. The year ended in a controlled retreat—locked in a room, assisted by medication to bypass the noise of the world, waking up only when the first noon of 2023 had arrived. The Vanguard was down, but the data was finally clear.

Objective: Breach the isolation of the pandemic; execution of the "First Flight" protocol.

While the world remained under alternate work arrangements at Mantil Elementary, I spent the year preparing for a breakout. Before executing my first flight, I coordinated a semi-exclusive outing for my Nanay and nephews at Lantaw Marbel Resort. As the pandemic restrictions began to lift, I ensured they were stationed in comfort; when we departed the resort, they headed home while I headed for the tarmac.

After years of being a "Flights Expert" for others, I finally took my own first flight. This wasn't just travel; it was a psychological extraction from the lingering fog of my health battles and the pandemic's silence. I spent Christmas Day at Treasure Mountain in Tanay, surrounded not by family, but by strangers and the sea of clouds. It was a mission in solitude and observation. From the peaks of Rizal, I moved to the cold highlands of Baguio, reclaiming my sense of adventure. I closed the year in a quiet hotel room, sleeping through the countdown to wake up on January 1, 2022, in a new city with a new perspective. The "Travel Agent" was finally the "Traveler."

Objective: Maintenance of IPED curriculum continuity (Modular Distance Learning) and mental preservation through small-scale entrepreneurship.

The global pandemic forced a total tactical shift. At Mantil Elementary School, we transitioned to modular distribution and collection, navigating a world that had suddenly gone quiet. For me, this isolation was the peak of the "Internal War." To combat the mental weight of the lockdown and my ongoing health recovery, I launched a home-based mission: Ly's Scents.

What started as a diversion became a localized success. I developed a line of perfumes for neighbors, colleagues, and friends, naming the scents after my nephews and nieces to keep my family at the heart of the project. Being in a Work-From-Home status allowed me the time to master the craft of perfume making. While the world was stagnant, I was distilling something positive. It wasn't just a business; it was a sensory anchor that kept me focused when the perimeter felt smaller than ever.

Objective: Completion of Master of Arts in Education (MAED) and establishment of digital content infrastructure.

This was the year the Biological Siege reached peak intensity. In May, I underwent Radioactive Iodine (RAI) therapy to neutralize the Grave’s Disease diagnosed the year prior. The mission was successful but left me without a thyroid, triggering a severe hormonal imbalance that compromised my emotional and mental regulation. I became "toxic"—both biologically and socially—struggling with a temperament I couldn't control and absorbing every negative word from the world around me. My immune system was failing, and a cloud of mental disturbance settled over my daily life.

Yet, even with a malfunctioning internal system, the Vanguard did not retreat. I finished my MAED academic requirements at Shariff Kabunsuan College, Inc. Graduate School and conducted my master's thesis. More importantly, I launched my YouTube Creator journey, building a digital outpost that eventually reached monetization. Despite the "System Crash," I still trekked, I still taught, and I still showed up. I was learning to lead while my own foundation was crumbling.

The mission began with a high-stakes decision. In April 2018, I was diagnosed with Grave's Disease, a biological complication threatening my stamina. When the DepEd RQA results were released, I was Top 3. This rank gave me the "Commander’s Choice" to stay in a central school near medical care, but I chose the struggle I knew as a child. I chose the IPED mission at Mantil Elementary School.

On June 4, I took my post. The parameters were grueling: no electricity, no staff house, and a 25km weekly journey—including a 5km trek through narrow, muddy mountain passes. While I taught, the 100% indigenous community taught me; their kindness stripped away my corporate polish and grounded me.

However, this was the year of the ultimate trade-off. In August, just as I secured my permanent position, my father passed away. I carry the belief that he waited for that security—that he left only when he knew his son was capable and would never forsake his mother. As I stood serving a community in the clouds, my own world was shifting. This was the true onset of the Biological Siege. I was standing on solid professional ground, but the internal war had just begun.

Objective: To return to SNACF as a Licensed Professional and reactivate the institution that built me.

Instead of taking the immediate path to DepEd, I returned to my alma mater, Senator Ninoy Aquino College Foundation (SNACF). This was a mission of payback. SNACF allowed me to march across the stage with my late father despite financial hurdles; in 2017, I returned to serve as a College Instructor and Internship Adviser for 107 graduating student-teachers.

During this deployment, I reactivated "The Dovetail," the school publication I founded in 2010. We released the Reborn Issue, breathing life back into a dormant voice. I also proposed the MockBoard Examination system—a tactical initiative to increase LET passing rates. Though not approved at the time, its current success at the college stands as proof of the framework's effectiveness. I didn't just teach; I laid the groundwork for a decade of results.
