Second week: Math toolkits review and enhancement Hawkes TV – Math Review
Problem sets will be assigned every week with extra credit opportunities. Format: analytical and quantitative applications of economic theories and models. Students are encouraged work in groups but must submit independent solutions. For each question, try to provide clear, concise, and concrete answers. The total grades for all problem sets are capped at 20%. Please note that all assignment deadlines are firm and late submission will not be accepted due to various extra credit opportunities.

A (90-100%): Excellent - Outstanding

B (80-90%): Good - Very Good
All parts of the assignment are completed correctly, or with at most a few minor mistakes, but the answers aren’t particularly thorough or insightful
C (70-80%): Satisfactory
One or at most a very few parts of the assignment are incomplete, or there are at most a few substantial mistakes and/or several minor mistakes
D (60-70%): Not satisfactory
