Prevention & Strengthening Solutions was founded seventeen years ago by Dr. Mark Smikle with Prevention in mind to assist people in the prevention of the development of anxiety/phobia (maladaptive coping), and to be a positive resource in the community to strengthen self-confidence and problem-solving in dealing with life’s stressors.
Dr. Smikle earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Columbia College, his Master's degree in Public Health at Austin Peay State University, and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Coast University.
His experience includes working in a Mental Health Hospital and counseling troubled teenagers and their families in residential facilities and their homes.
He has been counseling in clinical research settings, and now in his private practice.
The counseling and clinical trials team fosters a collaborative and supportive culture where open communication and empathy are prioritized. Team members work closely together, sharing insights and experiences to enhance patient care and research outcomes. Emphasis on continuous learning and professional development encourages a research-driven approach, allowing staff to stay abreast of the latest methodologies and treatment options. This culture not only promotes a sense of belonging but also empowers individuals to contribute meaningfully to both patient well-being and clinical advancements
