Knives
We take damaged and dull vintage kitchen and folding knives and restore them to use. Each blade is sanded clean and resharpened, and old handles and scales are replaced with micarta, a material made of layers of fabric or paper impregnated with resin. Micarta develops a beautiful patina through use, and is slightly grippy when wet—a fine quality for a knife that sees use! Most of the repaired folding knives are fitting with new brass liners.
All the processes of repair—from sanding, and resharpening blades to cutting brass and micarta to peening pins, mating materials and finishing—are done by hand.
