Are you interested in what is going on in the world? Do you watch the news and wish you knew more about a subject or what it all meant? Are you interested in issues that affect us all? Then why not join us.
Every month we meet to discuss a subject that has been in the news recently. We address the issue from a wide range of perspectives: politically, economically, socially, historically, fiscally or just with plain old common sense.
You do not need a background in any of these areas just an opinion (or none at all) and the ability to listen to someone else's point of view.
The group comes from a range of backgrounds and we don't alway agree with one another but we are up for healthy discussion with a sense of humour.
Recent subjects have included climate change, inflation and its effects, ULEZ, fine art, AI, human kind and the Israel/Palestine situation.
We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Melrose Room at St Cuthbert's from 2-4pm.
All are welcome and if you would like further information about the group or wish to join, please get in touch using the contact form.Â
