Chair exercise is a fun and safe way for anyone to enjoy the benefits of physical exercise. It is ideal for those with limited mobility, and also offers a low-impact workout. The goal is to get your body moving safely and appropriately, using your arms, legs, and torso to perform different motions. It has many benefits and very few drawbacks, providing a mild cardiovascular workout and releasing endorphins.
Starts at 11am on Friday 1st May, lasting for one hour, meeting in St Aidan's Room at St Martin's Parish Centre on Broadway in Fulwood. There is parking and it is very accessible by public transport. Our tutor is Helen who comes very highly recommended and will tailor the classes to what participants want - a more yoga-type class, or more dance-type exercise. Full participation while seated is a feature of her classes - and the chairs at St Martins are comfortable!
COST WILL BE £4 (please bring correct money if possible) and wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. You might also want to bring a cold drink with you, as it can apparently be a surprisingly strenuous workout!
