U3a Creative Writing  Group 

The group meets every 2nd Wednesday from 2-4 pm at St Cuthbert's, Lytham Road, Fulwood.  New members are always very welcome and previous writing experience is not necessary. 

Our primary goal is to write fiction to the very best standard that we can achieve. This will be different for every participant, and I encourage all our writers to try new styles and methods in their work.

Every month, a theme is suggested on which the writers will base their next piece of writing. We sometimes work to a specific genre or reflect on current events, such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, or a news item. In this way, we maintain the writing's freshness and variety, showcasing improvements in technique and growing confidence among the participants. 

We enjoy a social atmosphere whilst remaining committed to the craft of Creative Writing.
