Advice & Observation from a 'ten year Taxi Driver' (on the West Coast in SoCal & East Coast in NYC) who was also an 'honest to goodness' true life 'Party Animal' that 'worked the NYC Party Scene' as a underage 'Club Kid' (even 'working a door' when over 21 and participating in 'running some VIP parties'). "None of it is FDA regualted... some of it is 'bunk' ...and sometimes people kill others by giving them bad drugs or 'hot doses.' Always stick with other people... there are many reasons to in the party scene ...those were some scary ones."
Remember 'Drugs came to Us' ??? (when we were young) ...always around us... so much so, that we couldn't get rid of them (society couldn't get rid of them), remember? It hasn't changed... your perception might have though.
If you have to go looking for drugs... something is wrong; I can't say what that something is because you are where you are reading this (and I'm somewhere else) maybe a bust is going to happen, maybe they are trying to get rid of you for a moment, maybe a set up is happening even but it's something, for sure. So don't ever go out looking for it (that's how people get busted every time anyway or robbed, raped) or maybe its a cue for you to just leave so you are OK, maybe (but just go home or a safe place, don't go look for drugs). Don't even go on a 'beer run,' you risk a DUI if you do; just bring a 'Case' under one arm (more beer than you can drink) and / or a 'Fifth' (750L) in the other hand (more alcohol than you can drink) & both are affordable.
Always bring something to the party and give it directly to the host of the party (don't just set it down in the kitchen or give it to someone you never saw before); your host will be 'most appreciative' (and you will score big points as well as protection from any problem you may run into with someone else... it's their house / their rules / their decision on who gets tossed).
Also, when you start 'looking for it' (drugs or alcohol) or are not satisfied with what you already have (or had) is when they've 'got you hooked as a slave' (or run into some sort of dilemma /problem / speed-bump / obstacle/ etc.); it is designed like this... you wait around, go through all sorts of anxiety (you lose face too). Your job is now looking for and buying drugs (or alcohol), its more time-consuming then people realize too (on a sour note) ...you're on your best behavior to be nice to the dealer(s) or someone that will give you a drink (or bump/gagger/snapper/dose) which is like a chore in a way to not spook or piss them off (and they take massive liberties on you eventually if you want your drugs, some of it is understood as 'par' and some is appalling).
You start hating Cops (for busting people and / or you)... and the government (because it's illegal or doesn't protect you... or for 'never doing anything'); there are mass studies about the psychology of addiction (the rest is for a professional to talk about, not me) and the Police's focus is primarily making sure you don't hurt yourself or others by driving while intoxicated (I've seen the crumpled up wrecks on the road at 1:am, 2, 3 4:am so I'm with them on stopping DUI) ...Police 'rarely' have it in for anyone but yeah, there's a little of that too (for what reason? Who Knows? It's something between the two parties ..bad blood... something sometimes).
But when you do get your drugs (or alcohol) if you have become an addict/slave at some future date ...you go home usually (so you don't get busted or beat up or robbed)... and lock yourself in a room to feel safe ...becoming anti-social (the 'big party,' thrill or 'victory' is just having it...); your 'big fun' is just 'having drugs' & alcohol now instead of the 'fun times' associated with a Friend's party/event/gathering.
A 'True Addict' ...eventually only goes out for food or to work or more drugs or alcohol (very boring, a bummer).
