Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation, hereinafter referred to as "the Foundation," is a tax-exempt organization recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Established in Houston, Texas, the Foundation operates nationally to provide its charitable services.


Accreditation and Authority   


As an accredited steward of the President’s Volunteer Service Awards (PVSA), the Foundation is duly authorized to undertake a comprehensive array of responsibilities associated with the administration and distribution of these awards. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the selection, coordination, administration, management, and funding of the awards.


Commitment to Standards


The Foundation is unwaveringly committed to upholding the highest standards in all aspects of its operations. In fulfilling its role as a steward of the PVSA, the Foundation is bound by a multitude of obligations, including contractual, ethical, and legal duties, which it faithfully endeavors to fulfill.


Legal Authority and Discretion


In accordance with PVSA Regulations and having obtained official credentials, the Foundation possesses the legal authority to rescind the President’s Volunteer Service Award and associated privileges. This authority extends to cases where a recipient fails to comply with stipulated regulations or engages in conduct that is deemed detrimental to the mission and reputation of the Foundation.


Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of volunteerism and the recognition of outstanding service contributions. In executing its duties as a steward of the PVSA, the Foundation is guided by principles of integrity, fairness, and accountability, with the ultimate goal of advancing its charitable mission for the betterment of society.



By accepting any level of the Presidential Award, the recipient hereby acknowledges and agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions:


Rules for Recipients of the President’s Volunteer Service Award:


1. Acknowledgment of Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation: Recipients are required to acknowledge Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation in any public or media appearances related to their receipt of the President’s Volunteer Service Award. This includes social media posts, interviews, and public speeches. Continuous failure to do so may result in revocation of the Official President’s Volunteer Service Award and associated privileges.


2. Responsible Display: Recipients are encouraged to display their award pin, coin, or medallion, along with the personalized certificate of achievement, in a respectful and prominent manner.


3. Use of Awarded Items: The award pin, coin, or medallion, certificate of achievement, and letter signed by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. are intended for personal use and display only. They should not be sold, replicated, or used for commercial purposes. The recipient acknowledges that acceptance of the Presidential Award does not confer any rights, privileges, or benefits from the United States Government other than those expressly stated herein. The recipient understands and acknowledges that receipt of the Presidential Award does not imply any exclusive endorsement or personal affiliation with the Office of the President of the United States or any government entity.


4. Promotion of the Foundation: Recipients are expected to promote the mission and initiatives of the Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation through their social media platforms, public appearances, and community engagements.


5. Participation in Foundation Events: Recipients are encouraged to consider participating in events organized by the Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation, including volunteer opportunities, fundraising campaigns, and awareness initiatives.


6. Collaboration with Foundation Partners: Recipients may be invited to collaborate with partners and sponsors of the Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation on various projects and programs. They are expected to represent the foundation professionally and uphold its values.


7. Protection of Foundation Assets: Recipients must ensure the safety and security of the awarded items, including the pin, coin, or medallion, certificate of achievement, and letter signed by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Any loss or damage should be reported to the foundation promptly.


8. Confidentiality and Privacy: Recipients should respect the confidentiality and privacy of any sensitive information shared by the Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation and its stakeholders, refraining from disclosing such information without proper authorization.


9. Compliance with Guidelines: Recipients are required to comply with all guidelines, policies, and procedures established by the Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation for the administration of the President’s Volunteer Service Award and related activities.


10. Citizenship and Legal Status: Recipient must be a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident. Verification of citizenship or legal status may be requested through review of social security card, passport, or green card.


11. No Sex Offender Status: Recipients must not be registered sex offenders or become registered sex offenders at any time after receiving the award. Maintaining the integrity of the award and honoring the Office of the President of the United States requires that Lifetime Achievement Award recipients are not listed on the National Sex Offender Registry.


12. Revocation of Award: Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation reserves the right to revoke the President’s Volunteer Service Award and associated privileges if a recipient fails to adhere to these rules or engages in behavior deemed detrimental to the foundation's mission and reputation.


Acceptance of Award: The Recipient hereby accepts the Presidential Award conferred upon them by the United States Government sponsored by Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation. The recipient agrees to utilize the Presidential Award in a manner consistent with its intended purpose, which is to recognize exemplary achievements and contributions to society.
