Current Courses:
MA 201: Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers
Semester: Spring 2026
Role: Primary Instructor
This course will provide future elementary educators with the mathematical background necessary for teaching elementary school mathematics. The emphasis of this course is on developing the conceptual knowledge required to effectively communicate mathematics to elementary school students. Lecture, two hours per week.
Previous Courses:
MA 110: Algebra and Trig for Calculus
Semester: Fall 2025
Role: Teaching Assistant
In this course, we build up key ideas from algebra and trigonometry that are important for future math classes and real-world applications. We worked with trigonometric functions, exponentials and logarithms, and learn how to understand and sketch graphs. We’ll also explore polar coordinates and conic sections.
MA 111: Intro to Contemporary Mathematics
Semester: Summer 2025
Role: Primary Instructor
A general education course exploring real-world applications of math through voting theory, probability, fair division, and graph theory, with an emphasis on critical thinking and quantitative reasoning.
MA 109: College Algebra
Semester: Spring 2025
Role: Primary Instructor
An introduction to algebra focusing on problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and applications, covering topics such as quadratic equations, systems of linear equations, functions, and graphing.
MA 114: Calculus II
Semester: Fall 2024
Role: Teaching Assistant
A second course in calculus focusing on applications and techniques of integration, convergence of sequences and series, Taylor series, and polar coordinates. Builds on concepts from Calculus I and prepares students for more advanced mathematics.
MA 113: Calculus I
Semester: Spring 2024 and Fall 2023
Role: Teaching Assistant
An introduction to one-variable calculus with connections to analytic geometry. Topics include derivatives and integrals of elementary functions (including trigonometric functions) and their applications..
