Anannya Bhuskat

• After graduating from a private middle school last year, Challenger School, I am taking all the advanced courses that are offered at MHS! I am currently taking an advanced, 11th grade math class consisting of both geometry, algebra, and trignometry, as well as an advanced English class. I am strongly academic and have gotten good grades and honor roll as well. I have also won school awards for my creative and story writing. I have been tutoring in the past, and am excited to work with all of you!

• Last year, I graduated from Thomas Russell Middle School and I am now a freshman at Milpitas High School. I am currently taking an advanced English class and I have earned a perfect score in almost every math test that I’ve come across. I’m a straight A student and I absolutely love reading and writing. I have won awards in my previous school years for my strong ELA skills and I have no trouble teaching and lending a hand in homework. I hope you all enjoy working with us and I’m thrilled to start tutoring you guys!

• I graduated from Thomas Russell Middle School last year, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and am now a Freshman at Milpitas High School. I am taking all advanced courses this year, both an advanced math and English 1A. I am an extremely academic student and have been a straight-A student al my life. I do not accept anything less from myself, because I know I can do better. I enjoy reading and writing most, though all subjects intrigue and excite me. I have won awards for my skills in both writing and history, and am great at helping people understand difficult topics. I am delighted to help all of you with your homework, or whatever else you may need help or be struggling in!

• After you have signed up, you will soon recieve an email from us about further steps, and the matching of the student/tutor

• We will be hosting tutoring sessions in which a tutor from Milpitas High School or and 8th grader will tutor students from elementary and middle schools.

• Sessions will last for a minumum of 10 weeks (10 classes), but can last longer if both the student and tutor are willing

• Topics of tutoring will include: History, Science, Math, English

  • • Tutors will also go over any questions or concerns that the students may have

    • Tutors can also help students with homework that they have been assigned from school

• We reccomend that tutoring sessions last one hour

  • • • If the students and tutors are both willing, sessions can last more than one hour

      • We reccomend taking 5-10 minute breaks if sessions are longer than one hour :)

• If the student is under the age of 10, it is required that there is parent supervision during the time of tutoring

  • • • Tutors MUST record their session and submit it to us

• Days and timings are flexible with the student and tutor

  • tutors and students will have to contact each other for timings and dates that are convinent for both of them

• Tutors will adminster how to student is performing over the 10 periods

• If tutors see that the student is struggling, they will communicate with the parents and assign homework to the student for extra practce

• Tutors will also be sending out a minimum 2 report cards, one after 5 weeks, and one after 10 weeks

  • • This will allow you to see how your child is performing academically

• If students or parents have any concerns, they can email or contact the tutor

• If you are an 8th grader or an highschooler volunteering and tutoring, you will recieve community service hours for your work

  • We will give you your hours at the end of the session

• You are required to fill out a form, that you will recieve, which will require you to log your hours

• You are also required to submit the recording of your tutoring session

  • If you do not, you will not recieve hours
