As mentioned in a previous module, one task that undergraduate researchers (as well as graduate students and researchers of all career stages) are involved with is data entry and analysis. The good news is that there are many types of technology and software packages to help with these tasks. Understanding the basics of how to enter and analyze data is an important skill for your research project, but also a valuable transferable skill that you can continue improving after you have moved on from your role as an undergraduate researcher. Data analysis is part of many jobs and career fields. Some students have leveraged their undergraduate statistics skills to seek promotions within their current career fields.
