Building on Previous Success

PREMIERTOGO is an eighteen month research project led by the University of Malta. It builds directly upon the achievements of the PREMIER project, which concluded in 2024 with the development of a proof of concept lower limb prosthesis. The earlier prototype successfully demonstrated the ability to monitor pressure changes within the socket and to provide valuable feedback to healthcare professionals through a small scale management system. PREMIERTOGO now takes this research forward by moving from a laboratory prototype at Technology Readiness Level four towards a more refined solution reaching Technology Readiness Level seven.
