About Prem Shastri (1952-2021)

Sri Prem Kumar Shastri was the founder, proprietor, and professor at the

International Language Institute in Allahabad/Prayagraj, India

from 1996 until his death in 2021.

Prem-ji had a passion for quality education, and a love for the people of his country, India. He was dedicated to seeing its citizens and guests all to be given the best possible chance for success in life, and his desire was to help instill as many people as possible with wisdom and knowledge, through his institute, and its large collection of resources, such as the books from his extensive collection, now housed here in Sunderpur, Varanasi.

He held multiple degrees, including:

• Chemistry (from Davis and Elkins College),

• Organic Chemistry (from the University of South Carolina - Columbia), and

• Linguistics (from the University of Texas at Arlington).
