Introduction
Dr. Prem Chand received his Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. degree from Department of Zoology, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his postdoctoral research at National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Manesar, Haryana. During his post-doctoral work he determined the large-scale reorganization in the primary somatosensory system of monkeys with spinal cord injury. He also reveled the patterns of intrinsic connections in area 3b employ for behavioral use of hand in macaque monkeys. He is also involved in revealing the intrinsic connections of sensory motor areas and recovery process following spinal cord injury in rats. His has also interests in determining the tactile perceptual learning transfer between fingers in human beings. His expertise is in the field of neuroanatomy, histology, neurophysiology, immunocytochemistry, Golgi techniques, microscopy, neuronal cell plotting and cell biology.
