PREETHI KONKATHI

Hi, I'm Preethi Konkathi, a Ph.D research scholar from Eco-hydrology lab at Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering (CSRE), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

I'm the recipient of Prime Minister Research Fellowship (May 2020 Lateral entry) working under Dr. Karthikeyan Lanka on the project 'Passive Microwave Remote Sensing of Soil Moisture and Vegetation'. I pursued my Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Remote Sensing and GIS at National Institute of technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal in 2019.

Research Interest:

Currently, I am working on soil moisture and vegetation parameters retrieval from passive microwave remote sensing with a focus on development of robust retrieval algorithms to address the challenges associated with food security, water scarcity, agriculture, forestry, wildfire predictions and climate change.
