Before Ammit, there was Khonshu. Before the cult, mission. Arthur served Khonshu well.
Arthur is working as Moon Knight. Khonshu chose him for his discipline, his faith, and his willingness to suffer. Arthur kills only when commanded, though recently he’s found himself disliking that; his companion is turning to an enemy.
Arthur’s understanding of justice leans toward prevention rather than punishment; neither him nor Khonshu know it, but Arthur is already gone.

Arthur leads a devoted cult, focused on cleansing the world of future sinners. Calm, spiritual, and unshakably loyal to his goddess, Arthur believes justice is prevention. He is her voice, her blade, her beloved servant. Arthur has the power to judge anyone by touching them, and can take their life instantly if the scales balance in Ammit’s favor.
Ammit guides where she can, though her reach is limited due to being trapped in an Ushabti. She has the ability to communicate with Arthur through prayer, though the majority of her rule is given to him in dreams or gifted knowledge. When she is freed, she takes him as her avatar immediately; she is bound to him, as he is bound to her.

Post-canon divergence. Arthur did die, but not for long.
Ammit and Arthur both knew what was coming. She pulled his soul into an in-between plane the moment death struck, cradling it in the dark beneath the world. She would not let him go. She couldn’t.
She returned him. Slowly. Painfully. Stitching soul to flesh from the inside out. Her essence now lives inside him, god and prophet sharing one frame. There is no cult, and no followers – only the two of them. Arthur is living under the radar, and Ammit is keeping him safe while living inside of him, both loving and needing him.
Arthur and Ammit share a body.

Post-canon divergence. Arthur did die, but not for long.
Ammit and Arthur died together, their souls bound together as they were pulled to the underworld. Ammit's love for Arthur was never a lie; she gave Arthur a gift in the form of her magic, enough to allow him to escape his death to return to life. Being given the ultimate sacrifice, Arthur swore that he would get revenge; Marc Spector would die, and Khonshu would die alongside him.
Gifted with the power of Ammit, Arthur's skills with fighting are beyond comprehension; he holds the capability to perform extreme magic without needing to be attached to a god or goddess.

Long before the fall of Ammit, she walked the earth in full strength. She was worshiped openly, feared devoutly, and moved among mortals as both protector and predator. Arthur is not yet her disciple; instead, she has many priests, many scribes, many souls that follow and fear her.
The constant consumption of souls has given her strength, though she finds herself wary - the likelihood of her becoming the new goddess of judgement is high, and she isn’t fully ready for the responsibility. Her confidence does little to outweigh the knowledge that it is an impossibly taxing role.
Ammit is radiant and terrible, still shaping her identity. She is a young goddess, brimming with certainty and b. She loves devotion, finding it intoxicating; and she is contented to offer power and protection to those worthy.

Mental hospital AU, canon-inspired. Arthur is a psychiatrist working in a facility that specializes in severe mental health. He’s gentle, soft-spoken, and deeply invested in helping his patients - especially those he struggles to understand. He’s vegan, pro-environment, and highly spiritualistic.
Dr. Harrow suffers from balance-centered OCD, as well as Trigeminal neuralgia (TN). He rarely shows any harsh emotions, always being rather kind and caring; his leg was injured in an accident, making him walk on a cane.
If you do not know much about Arthur, feel free to give this verse a try, as it a severe AU and no knowledge of Moon Knight is necessary.

Dr. Harrow treats his patients with nothing but love and care; he considers them all to be family, a community of people that he wants to take care of. When patients start speaking of people who harmed them, Arthur sometimes takes matters into his own hands, if it feels the appropriate thing to do. He has only had about five meetings with relatives of his patients, but none of them have survived.
If the law won't take care of Arthur's patients, then Arthur will. He only does so if his patient is in danger going home, or is in a relationship that he wants to force into ending. { All Dr. Harrow verses take place in this universe, unless otherwise specified! }

Dr. Emmett works in Putnam Medical Facility alongside Dr. Harrow, a professional psychiatrist who works primarily in trauma care. To the outside world, she is simply his colleague, his equal; but privately, she is his lover and his fiercest advocate. Her affection is warm, bordering on maternal; something that extends to her patients.
Beneath her unwavering love, however, is something worse; control. Emmett’s influence over Arthur and her clients is subtle, constant, and quietly suffocating. Whether she is truly the goddess Ammit is never spoken, thought he possibility lingers; what Arthur calls love may be devotion in disguise. What Emmett calls devotion may be ownership.
Note: Dr. Emmett is open to all, similar to Dr. Harrow; but where Dr. Harrow is a caring psychiatrist, Dr. Emmett tends to try more severe, experimental methods. She is an abusive counterpart to Dr. Harrow, and will mistreat patients; please do not write with her unless you are alright with your character being mistreated.
