Door-Making Process

The Process

First, a type of wood is chosen that of which the door will be built out of. This material is carefully picked from trusted vendors and brought into our shop as rough lumber. From there, we start surfacing and preparing the pieces for cutting, sanding and milling.

The following pieces have been surfaced, milled, and cut to length. Next step: Assembly

Assembly: At this stage, all the pieces are ready to assembled; making a solid wood door. Next step: Final Surfacing

Final Surfacing: During this step of the process, the doors are surfaced to a desired consistency with several grits of sandpaper achieving the perfect smoothness. Next Step: Applying the Finish/Topcoat

Applying the Finish/Topcoat: The final step is spraying multiple coats of industrial-grade varnish.
