Course Description
This course is designed to help freshmen adapt to college and regular POSTECH calculus1 course / homework through interactive experiments and practical applications. Topics include functions, equations, inequalities, and introductory Calculus1 concepts, all explored through hands-on activities and real-world scenarios. We also emphasize collaborative learning and critical thinking skills to prepare students for future academic challenges.
This is a full 16 weeks course with 12 lectures, 2 mock test sessions for midterm and 1 mock test session for final. This is not a regular course. For more details, please refer to the PLMS.

Policies and Enrollment
Only freshmen (1st grade in 2026) can attend this course.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Attendance is mandatory for all sessions. Strict: More than 2 unexcused absences result in automatic course withdrawal in PLMS.
Mock tests are provided 2 weeks before the midterm, intended for adequate midterm preparation period. (One for final)
Note: This is not a regular course. This is an extracurricular course intended to help freshmen adapt to college.
Changes from Past Lecture
You may have access to recorded lectures through Youtube (same as 2024 Spring Lecture), however the upload is not guaranteed in the right time. Please attend the lecture in person for the best experience, otherwise we do not see any reason attending to this extracurricular lecture.
Online students are not allowed for attending the lecture.
Mock tests are not provided to students who are not enrolled in the course on site.
Every 15 - 20mins of the course is reserved for participatory experiments or story telling time by lecturer. Have fun! 😊
