Hi Girls!

I hope you all are doing well! I miss you all SO SO MUCH! I missed seeing your bright, shining faces this past Thursday - they always make me smile! Ms. Averie says hello to everyone and that she misses each of you!

We normally start class off by sitting in a circle with me asking everyone how their day went. Since we aren’t able to do that together right now, I’d love to hear from everyone on some fun things you guys are getting to do while at home!

I’ve uploaded a video of our tap dance and our ballet dance as well as some practice exercises we have done in class that you can work on at home. Some of you might recognize a familiar face on some of the practice exercises - I know lots of you miss seeing Ms. Emily at the dance studio each week! :)

I have also typed up a breakdown of each of our dances so that if you forget a step, someone at home can help you figure it out! Just a reminder that our ballet dance is not completely finished - hopefully we will see each other after Spring Break and we can finish learning it at the studio before the recital. If not, I will be sure to get you all a new video with me teaching it to everyone!

Be sure to practice, practice, practice while you’re at home and we will see each other again soon! Maybe if you practice extra hard, you might get a special sticker or treat for working so hard at home like we do in class!

Parents, Grandmas, Grandpas - let me know if you have any questions about anything. I know this is a weird time for everyone, so please let me know if I can assist you in any way with this. This is all new territory for us as teachers so if something is off or doesn’t work correctly, let us know and we will do our best to fix it or help out as much as we can!
