My research activities involve mainly the coordination of Nanobionics research group. The research of the group is focused on advance theoretical fundamentals (see book below) and technological applications of electrons transfer, transport and charge storage in molecular scale structures. Specifically, in terms of technological applications, the acquired fundamental knowledge is used to progress mimetic-based technologies for medical diagnostic assays supported on highly sensitive and specific electroanalytic approaches. The disease analytical devices of interest are those based on earlier (cancer and degenerative diseases) and emergency (infectious diseases such as dengue, Zika, STDs, etc.) diagnostics.
