What are we about?
What are we about?
We are a group of pals, who decided that we could do more to help people suffering because of the war in Ukraine.
We got together with other local groups who could help us to put an efficient project together. We want to make sure that every penny spent goes towards getting aid to where it is most needed. Quite frankly, we're tired of seeing charities whose slick ad campaigns and 'expenses' are sucking out funds meant for the needy.
But, over and above that, we wanted to push the idea that we should be praying for peace and encouraging others to do the same. That’s where the Pray Pals idea came from.
We see the practical and the prayerful priorities as follows:

Christianity built our society. Yet today hardly anyone confesses belief in Christ. Without Christ there is neither victory, nor peace. Pray with us for an end to the war.
Humanitarian Aid
Humanitarian Aid
We bring material help, donated or purchased at low cost, in the form of much needed medical, emergency and survival equipment to the forward areas.
Building Bridges
Building Bridges
By joining forces with the Ukrainian Church in prayer, we forge links between communities that will develop the kind of society we want when the war is over.
On the material side, you can help with donations to buy and ship vital medical equipment to the front lines. We also appeal to those who can supply specialist products now in short supply in Ukraine.
On the spiritual side, it is time, high time to get back on speaking terms with our maker. Kids are now offered Yoga in schools. But few of them can now recite the Our Father. Every church in the St Helens area offers ample opportunities for worship, contemplation and spiritual growth. We don't need Yoga or 'mindfulness'. We need Christ!
