Prayer Times ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application ("App") collects, uses, and safeguards your information.

We may access your precise or approximate location to calculate prayer times for your area, provide Qibla direction, and help show nearby mosques or location-relevant Islamic content.
- App preferences and locally stored data
We may store information on your device such as selected language, onboarding status, prayer reminder settings, selected Azan sound, cached city name, cached prayer times, and other settings required for app functionality.
- Notification and reminder settings
If you enable prayer reminders or other alerts, the app may store the reminder schedule and related settings on your device.
- Analytics and crash diagnostics
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage, improve app performance, and diagnose crashes or technical issues.
- Advertising-related data
We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob and its partners may collect or process device identifiers, app interaction data, IP address, network information, approximate location, ad performance data, and other information as described in Google's policies.
2. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
We want to be clear about what we DO NOT collect:

- Account credentials (we don't have user accounts)

- calculate and display prayer times
- provide Qibla direction and mosque-related features

4. Advertising and Consent
Our app contains ads and may use Google AdMob to show banner, interstitial, or other ad formats.
For users in regions where consent is required, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent form when necessary. Your consent choices may affect whether you receive personalized or non-personalized ads.
If required by applicable law or platform policy, users may also be given a privacy options form to review or update advertising-related consent choices.

5. PERMISSIONS WE REQUEST
5.1 Location Permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)
- Purpose: To calculate prayer times, Qibla direction, and find nearby mosques
- Required: Optional, but core features won't work without it
- Data handling: Processed locally, only coordinates shared with prayer times API
5.2 Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS - Android 13+)
- Purpose: To send prayer time reminders and Quran reading notifications
- Required: Optional
- Data handling: All notification scheduling is done locally on your device
5.3 Exact Alarm Permission (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)
- Purpose: To schedule precise prayer reminders at exact times
- Required: Optional, for reminder features
- Data handling: Alarms are scheduled locally using Android's AlarmManager
5.4 Boot Completed Permission (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)
- Purpose: To reschedule your reminders after device restart
- Required: Automatic if reminders are enabled
- Data handling: Only reads locally stored reminder preferences
5.5 Internet Permission (INTERNET)
- Purpose: To fetch prayer times from the Al Adhan API and load Quran content
- Required: Yes, for core functionality
- Data handling: Only prayer time API calls are made; no personal data is transmitted
6. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
All your preferences, bookmarks, and settings are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences system. This data is:
- Stored in your device's private app storage
- Not accessible to other apps
- Automatically deleted when you uninstall the App
- Not backed up to any cloud service by us
7. Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party services including:
- Google AdMob
- Google Firebase Analytics
- Google Firebase Crashlytics
- Google Play Services Location APIs
These services may collect, process, or receive data according to their own privacy policies.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

13. OFFLINE FUNCTIONALITY
Our App is designed to work partially offline:
- Cached prayer times are available without internet
- Qibla compass works offline using device sensors
- All bookmarks and preferences are stored locally
14. INTERNATIONAL USERS
Our App is available worldwide. By using the App, you understand that your location coordinates may be processed by the Al Adhan API servers to calculate prayer times. No other personal data is transferred internationally.
