Privacy Policy
Namaz Vakitleri İmsakiye
Last updated: December 4, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application “Namaz Vakitleri İmsakiye Kuran” (the “App”) handles information.
The App is published by an individual developer (no company). The App is primarily offered to users in Turkey, but may be used worldwide.
The App is designed with privacy in mind and aims to comply, to the extent reasonably possible, with applicable privacy regulations such as the
EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
This document is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
1. Data Controller / Contact
The App is provided by an individual developer (no registered company).
Developer: Individual mobile app developer
Email: akilliyavuz28@gmail.com
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the processing of data in the App, you can contact the developer at the email address above.
2. Information We Collect (and Do Not Collect)
As the App developer, I do not actively collect any information that directly identifies you personally (such as your name, surname, national ID number,
home address, or personal phone number) through the App.
The App does not include any account registration or login functionality. You do not need to create an account or provide personal details to use the App.
However, the App integrates with third-party services (such as Google AdMob, Google Analytics/Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google Play Billing)
that may collect certain data automatically in accordance with their own privacy policies. Such data may include:
- Device information (device model, operating system, language, region)
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID)
- IP address and approximate location
- Usage data (e.g., which screens are viewed and for how long)
- Crash and performance data
This data is generally processed by the respective third-party providers, not directly by the App developer, and is subject to their own privacy and security practices.
3. Types of Data and Purposes of Processing
3.1 Location Data (Geolocator)
The App uses the geolocator package to request access to your device’s location. This permission is used solely to show prayer times based on your current location.
- The location data is used in real time to calculate and display accurate prayer times for your area.
- The App does not store your precise location on a server or create location history.
- The location permission can be disabled at any time via your device’s settings. If you disable location access, the App may not be able to show prayer times based on your exact location, but you may still use manual or default settings where applicable.
3.2 Notifications (Local and Push)
The App uses both local notifications and remote push notifications to remind you of prayer times and provide updates.
Local Notifications: Scheduled directly on your device for daily prayer times. No personal data is transmitted for these.
Push Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging): We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send you alerts (e.g., special religious days or reminders if you haven't opened the App for a while). FCM uses a random device identifier (Instance ID / Token) to target messages to your device. This token does not identify you personally but is necessary for the delivery of notifications.
You can control or disable notifications at any time through your device’s settings.
3.3 Advertising (Google AdMob and Google Ads)
The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect and process data in order to serve ads in the App.
This data may include:
- Advertising ID
- IP address and approximate location
- App usage information and interaction with ads
Ads may be:
- Personalized ads (tailored based on your interests and usage data), or
- Non-personalized ads (based on contextual information, such as general location or the content of the App).
You can manage your ad personalization preferences through your device settings or your Google account settings (for example, by turning off “Ad personalization”).
iOS Users: For users on iOS 14 and later, we may request permission to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency) solely to deliver personalized advertisements. You have the right to decline this permission via the system prompt or your device settings.
3.3.1 Remarketing / Retargeting
Google Ads or similar services may use data related to your use of the App in order to show you ads on other apps or websites (remarketing/retargeting). You can limit such practices by adjusting your Google account and device advertising settings.
3.4 In-App Purchases (Premium – Ad-Free Version)
The App offers an in-app purchase to upgrade to a premium, ad-free experience. All in-app purchase transactions are processed through Google Play’s secure billing system.
- The developer does not receive or store your payment card or bank details.
- Google Play provides the App with information about the purchase status (e.g., whether the purchase was successful) so that the App can enable or disable premium features (such as removing ads).
3.5 Analytics and Crash Reporting (Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics)
The App may use analytics and crash reporting services to understand how the App is used and to improve performance and stability.
These services may collect:
- Information about which screens and features are used and for how long
- General device information (device type, OS version, language, country)
- Crash logs and diagnostic data (what happened before and during a crash)
The purpose of using these services is to improve user experience, find and fix errors, and optimize the App. The data is not used to identify you personally.
3.6 Local Storage (Local Data, Shared Preferences)
The App stores some information locally on your device, for example:
- App settings (e.g., preferred calculation method or city/region, if applicable)
- Notification preferences (e.g., whether prayer notifications are enabled)
- Premium/ad-free status information
This locally stored data is used solely inside the App and is not transmitted to the developer’s own server.
4. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are directed to users aged 13 and above. The App is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.
As we use third-party ad services (Google AdMob), we have enabled settings to block sensitive ad categories to ensure the content remains appropriate for a general audience aged 13 and older.
Email: akilliyavuz28@gmail.com
I will do my best to review and, if necessary, delete any such information, taking into account the technical possibilities and the data handled by third-party services.
5. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal bases for processing your data (to the extent that the GDPR applies) may include:
- Performance of a contract or legitimate interest:
- To provide the core functionality of the App (displaying prayer times, ensuring the App works correctly, detecting and fixing errors).
- Consent:
- Access to your device location (for location-based prayer times).
- Use of notifications (if you grant permission).
- Personalized advertising, where applicable (depending on your device and Google account settings).
You may withdraw your consent at any time by changing the relevant settings on your device (location, notifications, ad personalization).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Right of access: to know what categories of data may be processed about you.
- Right to rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: to request deletion of data in certain circumstances.
- Right to restrict processing: to ask that the processing of your data be limited under certain circumstances.
- Right to object: to object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.
- Right to data portability: to receive certain data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (where technically feasible and legally required).
Under CCPA, you may also have rights such as:
- The right to know what categories of personal information are collected, used, or disclosed.
- The right to request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- The right to opt out of the “sale” or certain types of sharing of personal information.
The App developer does not sell your personal data as “sale” is commonly understood; however, advertising and analytics providers may process device information as part of their services.
To exercise any of your rights, you can contact the developer at:
Email: akilliyavuz28@gmail.com
Please note that in many cases the data is stored and controlled by third-party providers (such as Google). You may also need to review and exercise your rights directly via their platforms and settings.
7. “Do Not Track” Signals (CalOPPA)
Some browsers and devices may send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. The App does not currently respond to these signals with a special mechanism.
However, you can control or limit personalized advertising and certain tracking activities by:
- Adjusting your device’s privacy and advertising settings.
- Adjusting privacy settings in your Google account.
- Disabling or limiting permissions such as location or notifications on your device.
8. Data Retention
The App retains only the minimum data necessary for it to operate as intended (for example, your local settings and premium status on your device).
Third-party providers (such as Google AdMob, Analytics, and Crashlytics) may retain data according to their own data retention policies. For detailed information on how long your data may be stored by these providers, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
9. Data Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to help protect data processed through the App, taking into account the nature and limitations of mobile applications.
Nevertheless, no system can guarantee absolute security. The App and the third-party services used strive to protect your data using commercially reasonable safeguards, but there is always some risk of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
10. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, to view Google’s privacy policies or legal information).
The developer is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party websites or services. You are encouraged to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this document will be revised.
In the case of material changes, you may be informed via the App or through the page where this Privacy Policy is published. By continuing to use the App after such changes take effect, you agree to the updated Privacy Policy.
