Prayer Pause ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how we handle your information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you use the Prayer Pause mobile application ("App") on Android devices. The App is designed to assist users in managing prayer times by enabling silent mode during salah, and offering premium features through in-app purchases. We aim to uphold the highest standards of privacy in alignment with Islamic values and applicable laws.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the App’s functionality and ensure a seamless user experience. The types of information we collect are:
Device Permissions Data:
Battery Optimization Exemption: We request exemption from battery optimization restrictions to ensure reliable scheduling of prayer time and vibrate mode triggers.
These permissions are used solely for the App’s core functionality and do not involve collecting personal data.
App Usage Data:
We collect anonymized usage data, such as interaction with features (e.g., setting prayer times, enabling premium features), to improve the App’s performance and user experience.
This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Crash and Diagnostic Data:
We collect anonymized crash reports and diagnostic logs (e.g., via Android’s native crash reporting or logger in debug mode) to identify and fix technical issues.
No personally identifiable information is included in these reports.
In-App Purchase Data:
If you purchase premium features ( Lifetime Access), Google Play processes the transaction, and we receive limited transaction data, such as:
Purchase ID (unique identifier for the transaction).
Timestamp and status of the purchase (e.g., completed, canceled).
We do not collect or store payment details (e.g., credit card numbers), as these are handled securely by Google Play.
User Preferences:
We store preferences you set in the App, such as prayer time schedules, notification settings, or premium feature toggles (e.g., unlimited prayer slots), locally on your device using shared_preferences.
This data is not transmitted to our servers or third parties unless required for purchase verification (see Section 3).
We do not collect sensitive personal information, such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or biometric data, unless explicitly provided by you (e.g., in support inquiries).
We do not use device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID) for tracking or advertising purposes.
We use the collected information solely to provide, maintain, and enhance the App’s functionality, ensuring a reliable and spiritually enriching experience. Specific uses include:
Providing Core Functionality:
Battery Optimization Exemption: To ensure timely vibrate mode triggers, even when the device is in low-power mode.
Facilitating In-App Purchases:
To verify and activate premium features (e.g., unlimited prayer slots, custom prayer times) based on your purchase status (e.g., isSubscribed or isLifetimePremium stored via shared_preferences).
Delivering Notifications:
To send in-app reminders or notifications for prayer times, as configured by you.
Notifications are managed locally on your device and do not involve external servers.
Improving the App:
To analyze anonymized usage data (e.g., feature interactions) and crash reports to optimize performance, fix bugs, and enhance user experience.
Responding to Support Requests:
If you contact us (e.g., via email), we use any provided information (e.g., email address, issue description) to address your inquiry and improve the App.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App’s functionality.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and do not share, sell, or trade your personal data with third parties, except in the limited circumstances described below:
Google Play Services:
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play’s Billing Library (com.android.billingclient:billing:5.0.0). Google Play handles payment processing and shares limited transaction data (e.g., purchase ID, product ID) with us to verify and activate your premium features.
Google’s privacy practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy.
Legal Obligations:
We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or legal process (e.g., court order, government request) in the jurisdictions where the App is available (e.g., India, global markets).
We will notify you of such requests unless prohibited by law.
Service Providers:
We may engage trusted third-party service providers (e.g., crash reporting tools) to perform technical functions, such as analyzing anonymized diagnostic data.
These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and process data only on our behalf, without retaining or using it for other purposes.
We do not share your data with advertisers, marketers, or any parties unrelated to the App’s operation.
We prioritize the security of your information and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:
Local Storage:
User preferences (e.g., prayer times, premium status) are stored securely on your device using shared_preferences, accessible only to the App.
Encryption:
Any data transmitted to Google Play for in-app purchases is encrypted using secure protocols (e.g., HTTPS) managed by Google’s Billing Library.
Access Controls:
Only authorized personnel (if applicable) have access to anonymized diagnostic data, and no personal data is stored on external servers.
No External Servers:
The App operates primarily offline, with no reliance on cloud storage for user data, minimizing exposure to breaches.
Regular Updates:
We maintain the App with the latest security patches (e.g., Flutter, in_app_purchase: ^3.2.1) to address vulnerabilities.
Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users promptly and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable laws.
Prayer Pause is completely ad-free. We do not display advertisements, use ad networks, or collect data for advertising purposes. Our revenue comes solely from in-app purchases, ensuring an uninterrupted and distraction-free experience during your salah and spiritual practice.

Google complies with international data transfer frameworks (e.g., EU-US Data Privacy Framework) to ensure adequate protection Web: Google Privacy Policy.
We do not store or transfer user data ourselves, as preferences are kept locally, and purchase data is managed by Google Play. If you have concerns about international transfers, contact us as outlined in Section 8.
