"PrayerMute" (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience while using our Islamic prayer tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. 

1. Information We Collect & Use

To provide accurate prayer timings, notification reminders, and features like "Do Not Disturb" automation, we require certain permissions. We only collect the minimum data necessary for the app to function properly. 

Location Data: We access your device's location to provide accurate prayer timing, Qibla Compass based on your current city.

• Foreground: Accessed during the initial setup to load local prayer times & Qibla Compass, Qibla direction etc. 

• Traveling and Updating Location: Because we respect your privacy and do not monitor your location in the background, your location will not update while the app is closed. If you travel to a new city or country, your prayer schedule will automatically update the next time you open the app, or you can manually refresh your location within the app settings. 

Notifications: We request notification access to send you essential reminders, including Dua alerts, Tahajjud reminders, last-read Quranic verse notifications, and Islamic event reminders. 

Do Not Disturb (DND) Access: Automatic Ringer Mode Adjustment (Optional) If enabled, this app requires permission to modify your phone's ringer settings to automatically switch to "Vibrate" or "Silent" mode during prayer times.

• Vibrate Mode: If you select Vibrate mode, no special permission is required, and the app will work seamlessly.

• Silent Mode: Due to Android security frameworks and Google Play Policies, fully silencing the phone requires Do Not Disturb (DND) Access / Notification Policy Access. This permission is used solely to mute the ringer during the prayer duration and will restore it automatically afterward. No personal data is collected or accessed through this permission.

Battery Optimization: To ensure background services (like location updates and prayer alerts) function correctly without interruption, we may request that you exclude our app from your device’s battery optimization settings. 

Storage/Media Access: We use this permission to allow you to set a personal profile picture. On modern Android versions, we utilize the system’s Photo Picker, which limits our access strictly to the photo you choose.

2. How We Use Your Data

We process the information we collect to operate, maintain, and enhance the features of the PrayerMute application. Specifically, we use your data for the following purposes:

• Service Provision and Accuracy: We utilize your location data solely to calculate precise prayer timings and Qibla direction relevant to your current geographic coordinates. This ensures that the religious observances and reminders you receive are accurate for your specific location.

• Automation of Device Settings: We use the granted permissions to automate your device's notification and "Do Not Disturb" (DND) status. This enables the application to respect your focus during prayer times by silencing incoming interruptions, as requested by your configured preferences.

• Enhancing User Experience: We use the information provided, such as your profile image, to personalize your in-app experience. This allows you to identify your account and manage your app settings in a user-friendly manner.

• Performance Monitoring and Stability: To ensure a reliable experience, we may collect technical diagnostic data (such as app crash logs and performance metrics) via integrated third-party analytical tools. This data allows us to identify, troubleshoot, and rectify software bugs or stability issues, ensuring that the app remains functional and responsive on your device.

• Device ID's : For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Device IDs. The information that we request will be retained by Emam'sSoft.inc  and used as described in this privacy policy.

• Background Maintenance: We use background processing capabilities to refresh prayer schedules and notification queues automatically. This ensures that the app remains up-to-date even when it is not actively running on your screen, preventing the need for frequent manual updates.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We respect your privacy and have a strict "No-Sale" policy.

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

• We may share data only if required by law, to comply with legal processes, or to protect our rights and safety.

4. Log Data & Cookies 

Whenever you use our Service, in case of an error, we may collect Log Data (via third-party services like Firebase, Google Ads Manager). This may include your device’s IP address, device name, operating system version, and app configuration. We do not explicitly use cookies, but third-party libraries (e.g., AdMob) integrated into the app may use them.

5. Service Providers & Third-Party Services

 We may employ third-party companies (e.g., Google AdMob, Google Analytics) to facilitate our Service. These third parties have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our application is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to delete that information.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, please note that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We strive to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Manage Permissions: You can revoke any permission (Location, Notification, DND, Storage) via your device's System Settings at any time.

• Data Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email provided below.

• Uninstall: You can cease all data collection by uninstalling the application.

9. Data Security & Retention 

We value your trust in providing us your information. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised. Continued use of the application after changes constitute your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Advertising Privacy Policies

We may work with third-party advertising partners, including AdMob, who use cookies, web beacons, or other technologies to serve ads on our app. These partners may collect information about your use of our app and other websites to provide personalized advertisements. The data we collect, as outlined in Section 1, may also be used to help personalize these advertisements.
