Terms of Use for Prayer Connect

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Prayer Connect ("the App"), operated by Ataforge ("we", "our", or "us").
By downloading, installing, or using Prayer Connect, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Prayer Connect, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (available at https://sites.google.com/view/prayerconnect/privacy). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ataforge.
2. Description of Service
Prayer Connect is a mobile application that provides:
- Access to a library of Christian prayers across multiple categories
- Daily featured prayers
- Text-to-speech audio playback of prayers
- Church finder using location services
- Christian holiday calendar with reminders
- Multi-language support
- Ability to save favorite prayers
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of the App, you may need to create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Subscription Plans and Payments
4.1 Free Tier
The App offers a free tier with limited access:
- Up to 5 prayers per day
- Up to 3 audio playbacks per day
- Basic prayer categories
- Contains advertisements
4.2 Premium Subscriptions
Prayer Connect offers the following paid subscription options:
BASIC Plan:
- Monthly: $4.99/month
- Yearly: $49.99/year (save 17%)
- Features: Unlimited prayers, unlimited audio, offline access, ad-free experience
PREMIUM Plan:
- Monthly: $9.99/month
- Yearly: $99.99/year (save 17%)
- Features: Everything in Basic, plus custom prayer categories, priority support, early access to new features
FAMILY Plan:
- Monthly: $14.99/month
- Yearly: $149.99/year (save 17%)
- Features: Everything in Premium, share with up to 6 family members
4.3 Free Trial
New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.
4.4 Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly)
- Payment is processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- Prices may vary by region and are subject to change
4.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.
4.6 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App's content without permission
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
6. Intellectual Property
All content within Prayer Connect, including but not limited to prayers, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of Ataforge or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
7. User Content
If you submit any content through the App (such as prayer requests or feedback), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with the App's services.
8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Apple, Google, Firebase, and RevenueCat. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
9. Location Services
The Church Finder feature requires access to your device's location. You may disable location services at any time through your device settings, but this will limit the functionality of the Church Finder feature.
10. Push Notifications
The App may send push notifications for daily prayer reminders and holiday alerts. You can manage notification preferences within the App settings or through your device settings.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The App is free of viruses or harmful components
- The results from using the App will meet your requirements
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATAFORGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the App
- Any bugs, viruses, or similar issues transmitted through the App
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the past twelve months.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ataforge, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
14. Religious Content Disclaimer
Prayer Connect provides Christian prayers and religious content for spiritual enrichment. The prayers and content are provided for devotional purposes only and should not be considered as professional religious, spiritual, or psychological advice. We respect all faiths and encourage users to consult with their religious leaders for specific spiritual guidance.
15. Modifications to the App and Terms
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available within the App. By continuing to use the App after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
16. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ataforge is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
18. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ataforge regarding the use of Prayer Connect and supersede any prior agreements.
