Privacy Policy for Salah: Prayer Times & Qibla

Prayer Times & Qibla (“the App”) is provided by TiringBring Apps and Games. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
Information We Handle
Location information
With your permission, the App accesses your device’s approximate or precise location to:
Calculate prayer and sunrise times for your location.
Determine the Qibla direction.
Display the name of your current location.
You may deny location permission and select a city or place manually instead.
The App does not continuously monitor your location and does not access it in the background. Your selected coordinates and location name are stored locally on your device so the App can remember your location.
Current-location lookup and manual place searches may use location and geocoding services provided by your device platform, such as Google’s Android location services. Information processed by those platform services is subject to the platform provider’s own privacy policy.
App settings
The App stores the following preferences locally on your device:
Selected location.
Calculation method and madhab.
Notification and alarm preferences.
Pre-prayer reminder time.
Selected alarm sound.
These settings are not uploaded to a server operated by us.
User-selected audio
If you choose a custom alarm sound, the App lets you select an audio file using your device’s file picker. The selected file is copied to the App’s private local storage and used only for your configured prayer alarm.
The App does not upload or share the selected audio file.
How Information Is Used
Information handled by the App is used only to provide its features, including:
Calculating prayer and sunrise times.
Showing the Qibla direction.
Finding or selecting a location.
Scheduling prayer notifications and alarms.
Remembering your settings.
Prayer-time calculations are performed locally on your device.
Notifications and Alarms
With your permission, the App schedules local prayer notifications, pre-prayer reminders, and optional Adhan alarms.
Android may allow these alerts to run while the App is closed and restore supported schedules after a device restart. Notification and alarm scheduling is handled locally through your device’s operating system.
Data Collection and Sharing
We do not operate a server that receives your location, settings, custom audio, or other personal information.
The App does not include:
User accounts.
Advertising.
Analytics.
Tracking technologies.
In-app purchases.
Marketing data collection.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Device-platform services used for location or place searches may independently process information according to their own privacy policies.
Permissions
Depending on your device and the features you enable, the App may request permission to:
Access approximate or precise location.
Send notifications.
Schedule exact alarms and reminders.
Display a full-screen alarm.
Play audio and vibrate.
Restore scheduled alerts after the device restarts.
Access an audio file that you explicitly select.
Permissions can be changed through your device settings. Some features may not work when their corresponding permissions are denied.
Data Retention and Deletion
App settings, saved coordinates, and selected custom audio are retained locally until you:
Change or remove them within the App.
Clear the App’s storage through device settings.
Uninstall the App.
Because we do not receive or maintain this information on our servers, we cannot remotely access or delete it.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. It contains no advertising, behavioral tracking, analytics, or user accounts.
Parents or guardians can manage the App’s permissions through the device settings.
Data Security
Information under the App’s control is stored locally using the security protections provided by your device and operating system. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but the App minimizes risk by not transmitting personal information to a server operated by us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
