Overview

Prayer Lock is a free Islamic app designed to help you pray on time and stay focused.

We respect your privacy:

• Your location is used only to calculate prayer times

• We do not track, profile, or show ads

• Sensitive features like App Blocker work fully on your device

• You only sign in when upgrading to Prayer Lock Pro

• Payments are handled by secure platforms — we never see your card details

1. Who We Are

Prayer Lock is developed by an independent developer.

This policy applies to the Prayer Lock mobile app on Android and iOS.

2. Data We Collect

We only collect what is necessary to make the app work.

Location Data

• Used to calculate accurate prayer times

• Sent to Aladhan API

• Stored locally for offline use (up to 30 days)

Account Information (Optional)

• Email, name, profile photo

• Only collected when you sign up for Pro

• Stored in Firebase Authentication and Firestore

Subscription Data

• Plan, status, expiry

• Used to unlock premium features

• Managed via RevenueCat and app stores

Crash Data

• Device info, app version, error logs

• Used to fix bugs

• Collected via Firebase Crashlytics (production only)

Notifications

• Stored locally to schedule prayer reminders

We Do NOT Collect

• Analytics or tracking data

• Advertising data

• Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera

• Financial or biometric data

• Quran reading history or personal activity

3. Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following never leave your phone:

• Quran bookmarks and last read position

• Prayer settings (method, madhab, reminders)

• Cached prayer times

• App Blocker selected apps

• Theme preferences

Uninstalling the app removes all this data.

4. Permissions We Use

You can revoke any permission anytime in your device settings.

Used to calculate prayer times

Used for Adhan and reminders

Motion Sensors (iOS)
Used for Qibla direction

Android Permissions

• Internet → fetch prayer times & content

• Exact Alarm → accurate Adhan timing

• Notifications → show alerts

• Boot Completed → restore alarms after restart

• Battery Optimization (optional) → improve reliability

App Blocker (Android Only)

These permissions are required only if you use App Blocker:

• Usage Access → detect current app (local only)

• Display Over Apps → show lock screen

• Foreground Service → run blocker in background

Important:
This data never leaves your device.

App Blocker is not available on iOS.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted services only when necessary:

• Firebase Authentication → account login

• Firestore → user data storage

• Firebase Crashlytics → crash reports

• Google Sign-In → login option

• Google Play / App Store → payments

• RevenueCat → subscription management

• Aladhan API → prayer times

• Quran & Hadith APIs → content delivery

Each provider follows its own privacy policy.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data.

We only share data with services required to:

• Provide app features

• Process subscriptions

• Fix crashes

No advertising or tracking is performed.

7. Children's Privacy

Prayer Lock is not designed for children under 13.

If a child has shared personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

You can request:

• Access to your data

• Correction of your data

• Deletion of your account

• Data export

• Withdrawal of consent

Account Deletion

Send a request via email to delete your account.

• Firebase account and data will be removed

• Local data is removed by uninstalling the app

9. Data Retention

• Account data → kept until deletion

• Subscription data → kept as required by law

• Crash data → stored up to 90 days

• Local data → removed when app is uninstalled

10. International Data Transfers

Some services operate globally, so your data may be processed outside your country.

These providers use standard legal safeguards.

11. Security

We protect your data by:

• Using secure HTTPS connections

• Not storing passwords or payment details

• Keeping data in secure environments

However, no system is 100% secure.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this policy when features change.

The latest version will always be available.
