RACING CAR FRAME

A car frame is the foremost part of a car with a crucial purpose of providing strength to the car and also assist in providing support to the car auxiliary parts i.e. wheel axle, suspension system etc. Frame design for every car varies from the car to car depending on the purpose for which the car is used. Usually, the racing car is where the frame is the pre-eminent component providing its stability and speed. In the context of a racing car, a frame is desired to be light in weight and made of a strong material durable to bear crashes or accidents during the races keeping the driver safe inside the frame.

I have designed this model in SolidWorks assuming the dimensions and the material which is used is Aluminium circular rods as back in the 1950s the racing car frames were used to be built with aluminium rods because Aluminum was lightweight and also had the required strength to bear the forces indulged during a race.

Whereas nowadays the Aluminium rods have been replaced by Carbon Fiber material which is much better than Aluminium in terms of weight and strength.
