My research would deal with impact of air pollution exposure on human health in the Indian subcontinent region. Particulate matter are very fine particles which when enters human body can lead to various diseases like COPD, Lung Cancer, Ischemic Heart Disease, Stroke in Adults and Lower Respiratory Infection in children. These diseases account for majority for air pollution related deaths worldwide. The Indian sub-continent region is one of the most polluted region in the world in terms of air quality. The covid-19 pandemic which is a respiratory disease affected the entire world and created havoc in India specially in the 2nd wave in 2021. In our research we would also like to see for possible linkage of air pollutants with covid-19. Trans-boundary study of pollutant transport would also be looked into employing different long-range transport models like WRF-CHEM, GAINS, etc.
