I am an Associate Professor at the Delhi School of Economics, Department of Economics, University of Delhi, with over 13 years of teaching experience across Delhi University and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Before transitioning to academia, I spent 07 years in the analytics industry, specializing in credit risk modeling and marketing mix analytics at corporations such as Accenture and Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO).
My academic training includes a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, M.A. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Hansraj College, University of Delhi.
As an applied economist, my research interests lie in Economics of Gender, Environmental and Development Economics, Economics of Crime and Intra-household dynamics. I also am an active member of international research networks such as IAFFE (International Association for Feminist Economics) and Women Budget Group (WBG). My current projects focus on the gendered impacts of climate shocks, access to clean water, and intra-household decision-making.
