Pramana Context ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
The Extension collects and stores the following information locally on your device only:
Page URLs: Web addresses you visit (when auto-save is enabled or when you manually save)
Page Titles: The title of each webpage
Intent Notes: Your personal notes about why you opened each page
Visit Metadata: Visit counts, timestamps, and time spent on pages
User Preferences: Your settings (auto-save toggle, group view preference)
We do NOT send any data to external servers
We do NOT track your browsing history beyond what you choose to save
We do NOT collect personal information
We do NOT use analytics, telemetry, or tracking tools
We do NOT share or sell your data to anyone
All data collected by the Extension is:
Stored locally using Chrome's storage API on your device
Never transmitted to any external server or third party
Used exclusively to provide the Extension's functionality
Fully controlled by you - you can view, edit, export, or delete it at any time
All data is stored using Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local)
Data persists on your device until you manually delete it or uninstall the Extension
The Extension automatically cleans up resolved contexts older than 30 days
We do not share your data with anyone. Period.
Your data never leaves your device. There are no servers, no third-party services, no analytics platforms.
You have complete control over your data:
View: Access all your saved contexts through the search interface
Edit: Modify intent notes and context status at any time
Export: Download all your data in JSON format
Delete: Remove individual contexts or bulk delete multiple items
Disable: Turn off auto-save to manually control what gets tracked
The Extension requires the following Chrome permissions:
Why: To identify which pages you're visiting
Usage: Read page URLs and titles for saving contexts
Limitation: Only accessed when you visit HTTP/HTTPS pages
Why: To save your context data locally on your device
Usage: Store and retrieve your saved pages, intent notes, and preferences
Limitation: Data never leaves your device
Data is retained indefinitely on your device until you delete it
Resolved contexts older than 30 days are automatically deleted
Uninstalling the Extension removes all stored data from your device
The Extension does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The Extension is not directed at children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
All data is stored using Chrome's secure storage API
No data transmission means no risk of data breaches during transfer
Your data security depends on your device's security
You have the right to:
Access all your data through the Extension interface
Export your data in JSON format
Delete any or all of your data at any time
Disable the Extension's data collection features
When you uninstall Pramana Context:
All locally stored data is automatically removed by Chrome
No data remains on any external servers (because we don't use any)
