RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
National Marine Science Centre, Australia (Research scholar & Research assistant) January 2018-Current
The National Marine Science Centre (NMSC) is top ranked environmental and coastal engineering research laboratory in New South Wales, Australia.
The main objective of research is to identify impact of land-use on estuarine water quality and trace groundwater-surface water interaction.
Projects
Significant nitrate attenuation in a mangrove-fringed estuary during a flood-chase experiment, Coffs harbor, Australia
Submarine groundwater discharge and nutrient fluxes in a natural mangrove versus an artificial canal estate, Yamba, Australia
Centre Européen de Recherche et d ’Enseignement des Géosciences de l’Envirnnement, France (CNRS-CEREGE)
Mar 16 - Sep 16
CEREGE is leading French national research laboratory working in the field of Environment, Geo-sciences and climate change. Main objective of this study was to prevent City Sisteron, France from flooding of Buech River.
Project description:
Monitoring and analysis of the morphological evolution of the bed of the Buech River and estimation of volumes of sediment transported based on analysis of high-resolution photogrammetry (drone and ULM)
Estimation of sediment volume in the PAG (Gravel pit) from bathymetric survey s and monitoring of sediment transport using RFID PIT tags, hydrophones (acoustic), and painted plots
Characterization of the evolution of flow depth and its spatial distribution using a pressure gauge and an automatic camera trap
Analysis of the relationship between sediment transport and hydrology
Field equipment - Drone, RTK GPS (Topography), RFID PIT tags,
Informatics tools - ArcGIS, QGIS, Global mapper and HEC-RAS
