Prajakta Bedekar

Researcher, Mathematical Biology

Hello! I am Prajakta Bedekar. I am a postdoctoral fellow working at Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), with a joint appointment as an International Associate at Applied and Computational Mathematics Division at National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

I am passionate about using mathematical tools to answer biological and biomedical questions. Take a look at my blogpost in SIAM News for a gentle introduction to my work pertaining to time-dependence in antibody measurements for a person in relation to a population.

I graduated from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston with a PhD under the guidance of Dr Mikhail Perepelitsa and Dr Ilya Timofeyev.

I can be reached at pbedeka1[at]jh.edu, pbedekar[at]gmail.com or at my LinkedIn profile.
