Who we are

Prairie Naturals Gardening Group (2019) was a community of interest that had native plants as its focus. It was a loose collective, informally organized, with over 100 members from urban centres and rural areas across Manitoba and North Western Ontario. Members were active volunteers, learning by doing and sharing - planting together, learning from each other’s experience and seeing gardens or plantings at different stages of growth.

Meetings followed the seasons with learning sessions on topics suggested by members, such as preparing to plant, designing a garden, dealing with weeds, and garden maintenance. Most learning sessions were supported by related hands-on activities.

The final meeting of the Prairie Naturals Gardening Group will be January 2022.
