Shop Policy

 50% deposit required on all work before we begin 

I will call 30 days Prior to completion to collect on the remaining balance

Mounts not paid in full or arrangements made within 30 days of completion may be sold to recoup costs

Sales Tax will be added to residents only per state law

Cancelation of work will forfeit deposit

Custom scenes, habitats, wood pedestals, wall pedestals are considered extra

Additional charges may apply for excessive cuts, repairs, alterations, or poses

We accept cash, check, Venmo, and credit card

We use Square for cards, there will be a 2.6% fee added for swiped cards and a 

3.5% fee added for manually entered cards

TURN AROUND TIME

Turnaround time on mounts/projects is estimated at 6-18 months. I will let you know at the time of drop-off and keep you up to date via text or phone calls. If you have not heard from me it is not ready to mount or complete. 

Please understand turnaround times are estimates only. The world changes daily, supplies change daily, and there is a process to everything,

My process is once I get your hide back from the tannery then it will go into line. Once I get to less than 45 days of mounting your animal I will call/text you to verify what we are doing and to get the balance settled. Once that is done and verified I will keep it in line to mount. Once your animal is mounted I will text you a picture. Then it will be anywhere from 2-4 weeks from being completely finished.  

Hide Care and Tanning Liability

Tanneries do not guarantee the results of any hide from loss, damage, holes, slippage, or rot

All tanning is at the client's risk. There are many factors  for the final results of tanning, like age of animal, time of year, climate conditions, care of skin in the field and in transport, disease and heat. Sometimes a skin will slip or fall part during the process due to all of the above or improper care. Because of this I cannot be held responsible. For this I cannot assume responsibility or offer a guarantee on any skin/hide during the tanning process.  

Taxidermist and/or Prairie Ghost Artistry  will not be held responsible for theft, fire, flood, vandalism, tanning, hair slippage or any other loss or damage.
