As mental health professionals we are taught how to selflessly support others, and often little emphasis is placed on how we navigate and grow within our selected fields while still caring for ourselves.
We at Practices Made Simple believe that all helping professionals are real life superheroes, capable of serving our communities, running thriving businesses, all while prioritizing our own mental wellness. We also know that seldom do helping professionals seek support. We believe in the power of community and network and want to support your growth in your professional quest as well as your wellness journey.
Here at Practices Made Simple, we are bridging that gap and providing a space where helping professionals can learn and grow. A place where you can take a self-care workshop to build resiliency, take CEU courses to grow in your specialty, and a place where you can grow as an entrepreneur.

Kristal Green, LCSW, PPSC has provided mental health services to children and families for 20 years. She spent the first 13 years of her career treating young people who were at the highest risk for academic disengagement, adverse behaviors, suicidal ideation, and more. Admittedly, she gravitated towards students that had lost their way in their educational journey. Kristal recognized that these particular students, the ones in the margins, demanded clinicians to be their best selves and to use their specialized skills to provide exemplary services. Thus, she has spent almost a decade in program development, training and leadership. Kristal is gifted in the art of developing community partnerships and motivating mental health professionals as they discover and harvest their inner gifts in order to offer their best to themselves, their families and their clients.
Sally Stevens, LCSW, PPSC, M.Ed. uses humor and a pinch of New York City directness to destigmatize mental health. She thrives in program development and connecting people together to leverage their resources. Sally sits on the board of Friends of School Mental Health, a non-profit that supports students in crises affecting their ability to attend and learn at school. She released a book June of 2020, which was unfortunately perfect timing for our current situation: Social Anxiety Workbook for Teens: 10-Minute Methods to Reduce Stress and Gain Confidence, 2020 Rockridge Press. Sally is the founder of Anchor Yourself Wellness, which offers mental health services and consultation for children, individuals, and families.
