Dr. Prabhat Kumar Upadhyay

About Me

I received my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2011. I joined Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering in May 2012, where I became Associate Professor in December 2017 and a full Professor in February 2022.  I have been a Nokia Visiting Professor at the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), University of Oulu, Finland during May-August 2022.  I have been a Visiting Professor at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB), Politecnico di Milano, Italy during April-July 2023. 

My research interests are in the area of wireless communication theory and systems. I'm leading a Wireless Communication (WiCom) Research Group at IIT Indore, which is actively involved in cutting-edge research and development to cater to the emerging needs of the next generation wireless communication systems.
