In this presentation, you will learn about current trends among youth substance use, 'street names' of popular drugs and how adolescents are accessing drugs. The Opioid epidemic will be discussed, and in particular, how the presence of Fentanyl in the drug supply has caused a surge in drug overdose deaths. The presenter will provide psychoeducation about signs of an 'overdose' and how to respond to one. Clinical interventions that you can use when working with caregivers and families will also be provided.
There will also be pleanty of time for your specific questions.
