In a country that ostracizes rather than celebrates peoples differences, we find that many individuals or groups of people that have experienced racism, bias, or being “othered” in some way, struggle with issues of identity, self-esteem, well-being and thriving for generations. We will explore this topic in depth, acknowledging the many facets of human development and self-actualization as well as the experiences and beliefs that profoundly and negatively impact an individual, specifically referring to that of the Latino culture. We will also explore tools that can be used to help clients grow and heal in a transformative manner.
