The IEP process for a child can be daunting. This course will be an interactive workshop that will support you in taking the guesswork out of the process. Participants will learn the basics of the IEP process, gain an understanding of the IEP document and its structure, review basic IEP laws, discuss parent rights and responsibilities and more. There will also be ample time for questions.

This training will provide 2 hours of Parent Partner Continuing Education, and also meets C.E. requirements for SB803 recertification.
Didi Watts, Ed.D.
Dr. Didi Watts is an educator with 20+ years of experience in education, starting as an elementary teacher within the LAUSD and has held the role of school psychologist, Special Education Administrator, and school site administrator.
Dr. Watts is passionate about supporting all students, and Black students in particular, to reach their full potential. As a social justice advocate, Dr. Watts serves as a parent leader for Black Student Achievement with Innovate Public Schools, Vice President of Education for Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services and is currently the Chief of Staff for LAUSD Board Member Tanya Ortiz Franklin.

You may only miss 15 minutes of each training. Any late logins or early logouts that result in more than 15 minutes of missed time in relation to the total presentation length will result in no credit given for attending.
