This training provides important information about navigating culturally diverse settings effectively through cultural humility. The goal of this training is to provide parent partners and peer support staff with knowledge to practice cultural humility by recognizing and addressing implicit bias. We each have a cultural background from which we view the world. Our cultural background influences the assumptions that we make about ourselves, others, and the world. You will learn approaches you can use to reduce the potential impact of cultural bias. Other topics covered will be underlying needs and providing a strength based approach to those you serve.

This training is intended for ALL team members working with parents, families and children.
This training will provide 2 hours of Parent Partner Continuing Education, and also meets C.E. requirements for SB803 recertification.

This training will be presented in the ZOOM platform (please be sure you have the most up-to-date version).
You MUST attend the entire training. Any early sign-offs will result in no credit for the training. Any late logins or early logouts that result in more than 15 minutes of missed time in relation to the total presentation length will result in no credit given for attending.
Your camera MUST be on the entire time of the training. Please use a computer that has a functioning camera--test out your camera before attending.
