Particle Physics Phenomenology Group

Welcome to the Particle Physics Phenomenology (PPP) group at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India. Our dedicated team of researchers focuses on cutting-edge investigations in Particle Physics Phenomenology. In 2012, the discovery of the Higgs Boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) marked a significant milestone, completing the particle spectrum within the Standard Model of particle physics. Despite its successes, the Standard Model has theoretical shortcomings, prompting exploration of "Beyond the Standard Model" (BSM) theories. These theories aim to address issues like dark matter, dark energy, matter-antimatter asymmetry, and neutrino masses. Our research at PPP focuses on LHC phenomenology, neutrino physics, quark matter, neutron stars etc. Join us in exploring the mysteries of physics beyond the Standard Model and pushing the boundaries of human knowledge.
