Privacy Policy for EasyNotes: Notepad

Effective date: August 1, 2026

EasyNotes is an offline first note and to do application. This policy explains what information the app stores, where it is stored, and how it is used.

1. Information stored

EasyNotes does not require an account or registration. The app stores the following information locally on your device:

Notes, including titles, content, timestamps, pinned status, and favorite status.

To do lists, including titles, checklist items, completion states, timestamps, pinned status, and favorite status.

Per item appearance settings, including the selected font and theme for each note or to do.

App preferences, including the app lock setting. Font and theme choices are stored with the related note or to do.

The optional app lock PIN.

The app does not intentionally collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photographs, or other personal information.

2. How information is used

Locally stored information is used only to provide app functionality, including:

1. Creating, displaying, editing, searching, and deleting notes.

2. Creating and managing to do checklists.

3. Remembering completed checklist items.

4. Sorting, pinning, and favoriting items.

5. Applying the selected font and theme to the related note or to do.

6. Locking the app when the optional app lock is enabled.

3. Where information is stored

Notes, to dos, checklist data, appearance settings, and app preferences are stored locally on the device using local app storage. They are not uploaded to an EasyNotes server.

Uninstalling the app may remove the locally stored app data, depending on the operating system and device backup settings.

4. Data sharing and external services

EasyNotes does not provide accounts, cloud synchronization, advertising, analytics, or a backend service for note data. EasyNotes does not sell, rent, or share note or to do content with third parties.

The app uses third party Flutter libraries for local storage, fonts, and user interface functionality. Font resources may be loaded or cached by the font library according to its platform behavior. Note content, to do content, checklist states, and per item appearance settings are not sent as part of that process.

5. Network access

The core note and to do functionality is designed to work offline. The Android application may declare network access because of application libraries or font resource behavior. The app does not use network access to upload notes, to dos, checklist items, or app lock data.

The privacy policy page displayed inside the app is bundled with the application and does not require a separate account.

6. App lock security

The optional app lock uses a four digit PIN. The current implementation stores the PIN in local app preferences. It is not transmitted to a server and is not used for biometric authentication.

The app lock is an additional convenience feature and should not be considered equivalent to encrypted storage or a device level security system. Users should also use the device screen lock and operating system security features.

7. Data retention and deletion

Information remains on the device until it is deleted by the user or removed by uninstalling the app.

Users can delete an individual note or to do from its editor. Deleting an item removes its content, checklist data, appearance settings, timestamps, pin state, and favorite state from the app database.

Uninstalling the app may remove all locally stored app data. Device backups managed by the operating system may be governed by the device platform own settings and policies.

8. User control

Users can:

1. Create, edit, and delete notes and to dos.

2. Check and uncheck to do items.

3. Pin or favorite items.

4. Select a font and theme for an individual note or to do.

5. Enable or disable the optional app lock.

6. Remove app data by uninstalling the application.

9. Children privacy

EasyNotes does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app is designed for local note taking and does not require an account, it does not intentionally request personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app functionality or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when a new version is published.
