We're looking for delegates & committee members!

We’re looking to strengthen our union by recruiting new delegates! Delegates are essential to the health of our union. They function at the same level as management, are responsible for helping facilitate member grievances brought to us by our members, and meet monthly with management to ensure they’re being held accountable to our contract.

Want to become a delegate? You can do so in 3 easy steps:

• Email priscilla.pena@1199.org to get started (cc: ppfaunion@gmail.com as well!)

• Collect digital signatures from your peers all March/April

• Election to be held in May!

Want to help the union, but can’t be a delegate? We’re also looking for individuals to help form committees that will help organize our unit:

• The Grievance Committee will be responsible for tracking member grievances and identifying repeating patterns and problem areas that need to be addressed by management 

• The Member Comms Committee will be responsible for helping to manage our unit’s inbox, planning meetings, and onboarding new members to our union. 

• Lastly, the External/Public Comms Committee will assist with communicating out to our members via our website, socials, and public statements
