Joining the PPE Press board is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in editing and publishing academic writing. It offers a practical insight into how thoughtful arguments are refined, challenged and prepared for publication, while allowing you to play a direct role in shaping the intellectual direction of the paper.

Serving on the board is a strong addition to your CV and provides valuable experience that complements a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics or any related Social Sciences discipline. Beyond that, it is a chance to develop skills in critical reading, constructive feedback and collaborative decision-making, all within a team of students who care about ideas and rigorous debate.

Board members are expected to attend weekly one-hour meetings, which alternate between in-person and online formats. Each editor also reviews at least one essay per week, offering detailed feedback and working closely with writers to strengthen clarity, structure and argument.
