I am currently a postdoctoral fellow working with at the Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics (NORDITA) in Stockholm, Sweden. My research lies at the intersection of multiphase flows and cloud microphysics, with a particular emphasis on droplet collision dynamics and droplet growth in warm clouds. Recently, I have been working on stochastic paleoclimatology, focusing on understanding the causal relations among coupled climate variables and global ice volume.
I received my M.S. and Ph.D. from the Department of Applied Mechanics & Biomedical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. My PhD research's primary focus was studying collision dynamics of particle pairs subject to a background flow (laminar & turbulent) and gravity, incorporating hydrodynamic and interparticle interactions, which have direct applications in cloud microphysics and many industrial processes.
I completed my Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2015. Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked as a Senior Officer in Product Development (Industrial) in the R&D division of Exide Industries Limited from July 2015 to May 2017, where I gained valuable experience in industry-driven research and engineering applications.
