AMC Alert (“the app”, “we”, “us”) helps service businesses manage annual maintenance contracts, visits, equipment and payments. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have.
Your business data (customers, contracts, visits, equipment, payments) is stored only on your phone. We do not run servers and we cannot see your data.
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects some device information as described below.
Pro subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details.
We do not sell your data.
You may enter:
Your business details: business name, phone, email, address, tax number, UPI ID, bank account details, logo and contract terms.
Customer details: names, phone numbers, contact persons and addresses.
Service records: contracts, visit checklists, notes, photos, customer signatures, equipment serial numbers and payment records.
This information is saved in a database on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any server operated by us. You are responsible for having permission to store your customers’ information and for using it lawfully.
The app shares information only when you tap an action that does so:
WhatsApp, email and other apps: when you send a reminder, contract, service report or receipt, the message or PDF is passed to the app you pick. That app’s own privacy policy then applies.
Phone calls and maps: when you tap Call or Directions, the phone number or address is passed to your dialer or maps app.
Backups and exports: when you back up or export, the file is saved to the location you choose (for example, your Downloads folder). Anyone with access to that file can read its contents, so keep backups safe.
The free version uses Google AdMob to show app-open, native and rewarded ads. Google and its partners may collect and use:
Your device’s advertising ID
Device and app information (model, operating system, app version)
Approximate location derived from your IP address
Ad interactions (views and taps)
This is used to show ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalise them. Ads never use the business or customer data you enter in the app.
Consent: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent using Google’s consent tool before ads are personalised. You can change your choice anytime in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
Advertising ID: you can reset it or opt out of personalised ads in your phone’s settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Pro users do not see ads.

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment and tells the app whether your subscription is active. We do not receive your name, card or billing address. You can manage or cancel your subscription in the Google Play Store.
Scanning serial numbers: the app uses Google’s code scanner provided by Google Play services. The camera image is processed on your device to read the code. The app itself does not receive or store the camera image.
Photos and logo: when you add photos to a visit or upload a logo, you pick images with the system photo picker. Copies are stored inside the app on your device.
Internet and network state: to load ads, check your subscription and receive consent forms.
Notifications: to remind you about renewals, visits and payments. You can turn these off in the app or in phone settings.
Advertising ID: for ads in the free version, as described in section 4.
Biometric / screen lock (optional): if you turn on App lock, your phone’s fingerprint, face or PIN check is used. We never receive your biometric data.
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can:
Delete individual contracts in the app
Erase everything with Settings → Reset all data
Uninstall the app, which removes all app data from the device
Backup files you saved elsewhere (for example, in Downloads) are not deleted automatically, so delete them yourself if needed. For data collected by Google for ads, see the Google Privacy Policy.
Your data is protected by your device’s security. You can add an extra App lock in Settings. Keep your phone locked and store backup files safely, because they contain your business and customer information.
AMC Alert is a business app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the CCPA in California, or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because your app data is stored only on your device, you can exercise these rights directly in the app. For ad-related data, use the controls described in section 4 or contact Google. You can also contact us with any questions.
We may update this policy when the app changes. The new version will be posted at this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app’s update notes.
